Helsinki Regional Transport (HSL) provides a helpful Journey planner.

Tickets and fares in Helsinki:

From a bus, train or tram – 3,20 €

You can buy a single ticket from the driver or conductor. Make sure to have small or exact change ready.

From a ticket machine – 2,70 €

In Helsinki, single tickets are cheaper when purchased from a ticket machine than from the driver or conductor. Such tickets are valid from the moment of purchase.

Tram ticket from a ticket machine – 2,50 €

Cheaper than a standard single ticket, valid only on trams.

SMS ticket – 2,60 €

Send an SMS “A 1” to 16355 and get a mobile ticket in a reply message. The price of the ticket will be included in your phone bill. The ticket is valid in Helsinki on the metro, trams, commuter trains and the Suomenlinna ferry but only on certain bus routes.

Mobile ticket – 3,20 €

Install HSL Mobile ticket app and buy tickets directly to your mobile phone. HSL Mobile ticket is a single ticket valid on all modes of transport. There are tickets for all HSL travel zones.

Night-time single ticket 2.00 a.m. – 4.30 a.m. – 5,00 €

At night, the price of a single ticket is the same whether you buy it from a ticket machine or from the driver or conductor.

Two-hour ticket – 4,30 €

Two-hour tickets are loaded on single-charge cards. Show the card to a card reader on your start your first trip.

Suomenlinna ticket 12h – 5,00 €

The ticket is valid for 12 hours only on the Suomenlinna ferry.
